Hey, very nice work. You've made it all fit together so...realistically =)

this kind of "dimentional" picture creeps me out. Maybe I'm claustophobic.

Am taking commissions for clay miniature pointe ballet shoes - can make them to hang on the wall, as fridge magnets etc. Also make miniature ponds and water features for dolls house gardens. Note me for details.

YEAH!!!

Do you know I've never seen Alice in Wonderland? I also have the American McGee game and I've never installed it nor played? :O_o:

 No matter... this is sooooooo cool...

HOWEVER, if I am to critique this with a discerning eye, I see one small oversight that kind of makes it... off for me:

Alice's shadow. (and I'm aaaaall about shadows, naturally, as they are my kin :nana:) Her shadow running along the floor looks about right... maybe I'd set it back more behind her just a hair, as I can still see the shadow of her foot in FRONT of her foot, and the position of the light suggests there would be no discernible shadow at her toes from this viewing angle. My problem is with the shadow that creeps up the wall. I think it ought to run back at a more acute angle towards the rear of the scene. However, I think I know what you've done here with the drop shadow by rendering it and placing her entire shadow all in one fell swoop. I'd render a copy of the shadow layer & then cast the floor and wall shadows individually. This way I could place the floor shadow, & erase all of the part of the floor shadow that crosses the threshold of the corner and crawls up the wall. Conversely I'd place the wall shadow, erasing the floor part, then skew it to set it running in the direction according to the light source. :)

Did I make that lucid enough? Sometimes it's hard to judge in one's mind if the means I use to describe my method of doing something makes any sense at all to another person familiar with another method. yeesh... I'll stop now! ^^;

I don't know how many people would notice a smallish little perspective thingy like that, but at the fullscale res on a big monitor that displays it all, it becomes easier to notice. Nitpicky, I know, but it's the little things that separate a really good piece from one that is pro, and I am ENCOURAGING you, so

This is just awesome Nikki, and I had to :+fav: it cuz it's a great take on the Alice-down-the-rabbit-hole concept, and tickles the queasy-bone of anyone claustrophobic, which is just grooovy with me! :D Well Done!

The shadow bugs the hell out me because I know it's off and just not right lol. I would have expected you to notice it of course. :aww: Yes, I undestand what you said. My problem was lack of time. My other half is home and I was unable to finish it properly and got anxious to post....so I did just that. I will try to fix it when time is available. I'm glad you liked it.

Yes indeedy I do like!

I kinda figured it might have been a time constraint. :o I'm guilty of that all the time too... Too, there was an art instructor who once told me that every artist ought to have someone standing behind them to say "stop!" ... sometimes I'm when I'm working on a piece just for leisure I can keep working on it forever, but it eventually reaches a point of redundancy and I say to myself, "Ah, well that was fun, but it's good enough now!" :giggle:
